Languages – French

An amazing term with amazing students of French!

Year 1 Students have been learning about family members and animals this term. Hands-on activities, role-plays, songs and online language programs were integrated to engage them and deepen their understanding. They enjoyed drawing animals and their family tree while consolidating their knowledge. They had lots of fun.

Year 2 Students learnt about food, fruits and vegetables. They also learnt how to express their preferences for food.

Year 3 Students have been learning about school subjects, countries, languages and nationalities. They were taught common vocabulary to help them in conversations about nationalities and languages spoken. They learnt how to say their favourite subjects using French. All these topics were practiced with the help of online languages programs, worksheets, workbooks and vocabulary games. It’s amazing to see them enjoying their learning.

Year 7 Students feel themselves more confident now. They have acquired the basic vocabulary and might be ready to travel to one of the Francophone countries and be able to communicate with French speakers. They have learnt greetings, self-introduction, the French alphabet, numbers, days, months, family members and animals.

Year 8 Students competed in the Education Perfect online language competition and students from the Sunshine campus won a few medals. We are proud of them.

Year 9 Students have learnt a great deal of topics that should help them to navigate their way while on a trip to a French-speaking country. Students learnt through online textbooks and online language programs, games, songs and cultural events.

Thank you for your support dear parents, and the administration team of the Sunshine Campus.
